ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has engaged Pakistan’s Ambassadors and High Commissioners posted in key global capitals to mobilise strong international participation for the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF 2026), positioning the event as a flagship platform for attracting global investment into the country’s mineral and mining sector.
The Minister held a comprehensive virtual briefing with Pakistan’s diplomatic missions abroad, while senior officials from the Petroleum Division and representatives of key public sector entities attended the session in person. The meeting focused on aligning diplomatic outreach with Pakistan’s economic priorities and leveraging the country’s diplomatic network to elevate PMIF 2026 as a premier international investment forum.
During the briefing, Ali Pervaiz Malik outlined the vision, scale, and strategic importance of PMIF 2026, describing it as a national economic priority. He urged Ambassadors and High Commissioners to proactively engage with leading global mining companies, institutional investors, financial institutions, and relevant government authorities in their host countries to ensure broad-based, high-quality international participation.
“PMIF 2026 will serve as a key platform for promoting mining awareness, stimulating economic activity, and attracting sustainable investment into Pakistan’s mineral sector,” the Minister said, underscoring the government’s commitment to unlocking the country’s vast mineral potential through international partnerships.
Recalling the success of PMIF 2025, the Minister noted that the previous edition was organised in line with international standards and delivered tangible outcomes. The forum attracted participation from over 50 countries and more than 5,000 delegates, while the signing of 14 memoranda of understanding with globally recognised companies reflected growing international confidence in Pakistan’s mineral sector.
Building on this momentum, the Minister said PMIF 2026 is being positioned as a strategic economic initiative aimed at steering Pakistan’s mineral and mining sector toward sustainable growth, value addition, and long-term economic impact.
Pakistan’s envoys reaffirmed their full commitment to leveraging the country’s extensive diplomatic footprint to ensure strong, diversified, and meaningful international participation in PMIF 2026.
The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 will be held in Islamabad on April 8–9, 2026. The event will feature a Strategic Conference, Technical Conference, and an International Exhibition, along with a Gemstone Exhibition and a comprehensive Resource Library designed to support informed, data-driven investment decisions.
