ISLAMABAD – Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) has partnered with Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) to launch a series of Hepatitis C Elimination Camps aimed at offering free screening and treatment services across healthcare facilities in Punjab and Sindh. This initiative is part of OGDC’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which seeks to provide accessible healthcare to communities located in its operational areas.
The camps will offer a range of services including free Hepatitis C screening, diagnostic testing, medical consultations, and distribution of essential medicines. These services will be available at OGDC’s healthcare facilities in several districts. In Punjab, the camps will be held in Chakwal, Attock, Gujjar Khan (Rawalpindi), and Dera Ghazi Khan. In Sindh, they will be organised in Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Ghotki.
The initiative will roll out in multiple phases. The first phase will run from September 23 to December 11, 2025. This will be followed by two additional rounds of follow-up camps—the first from September 30 to December 18, 2025, and the second from March 31 to June 18, 2026. These follow-ups are designed to ensure comprehensive care and monitoring for patients undergoing treatment.
This collaboration underscores OGDC’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive healthcare solutions. Earlier this year, the company donated three state-of-the-art Mobile Eye Operation Theatre Units to Al-Shifa Trust Hospital. Additionally, OGDC organised 35 free surgical eye camps nationwide, providing cataract surgeries, consultations, and eyeglasses to thousands of patients.
Through these healthcare initiatives, OGDC continues to align its CSR efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which promotes good health and well-being for all. Ends
