ISLAMABAD: The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) expresses its deep appreciation to the Government of Pakistan for its pivotal role in facilitating a two-week ceasefire between Iran and the United States.

APTMA particularly acknowledges the strenuous and tireless efforts of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Their leadership, commitment, and sustained diplomatic engagement proved instrumental in advancing this critical development.

At a moment of heightened regional tension, Pakistan played a key role in promoting restraint, enabling dialogue, and creating much-needed space for de-escalation. The ceasefire follows intensive diplomatic outreach by Pakistan’s leadership and has opened avenues for further negotiations in Islamabad.

APTMA believes that Pakistan’s role reflects its longstanding commitment to regional peace, stability, and constructive dialogue. This development is not only significant for the countries directly involved but also for the broader international community, which has been concerned about the risks of escalation and potential disruptions to global trade and energy markets.

The Association commends the Government of Pakistan for prioritizing diplomacy in the interest of peace. Such efforts strengthen Pakistan’s standing as a responsible state dedicated to conflict resolution and international cooperation.

APTMA expresses hope that the ceasefire will hold and serve as a foundation for meaningful negotiations toward a lasting resolution. Sustainable peace through dialogue remains essential for regional security, economic stability, and the well-being of millions across the region.— Ends —
