ISLAMABAD: Netflix has been announced as the exclusive global broadcaster for the highly anticipated second edition of the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament, part of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season, to be held from October 15 to 18 at the ANB Arena.
The event will be streamed live to over 300 million Netflix subscribers worldwide at no additional cost, according to HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority.
According to the press note from Riyadh, Saudi Adabia, the tournament will feature six of the world’s top men’s tennis stars battling for the prestigious title. World number one and defending champion Jannik Sinner will face tough competition from five-time Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz, record 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, three-time Grand Slam finalist Alexander Zverev, world number five Jack Draper, and 2024 US Open finalist Taylor Fritz.
Last year’s inaugural Six Kings Slam saw Sinner produce a dramatic comeback against Alcaraz, winning 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 in a thrilling final that captured global attention.
Global sports marketing giant IMG, part of TKO Group Holdings, will produce the broadcast, bringing its expertise from working with some of the world’s biggest sporting events and leagues. The coverage will feature more than 20 high-tech cameras, including wirecam, drones, and robotic technology, along with augmented reality graphics and in-depth storytelling.
Riyadh Season, launched in 2019, has quickly grown into one of the world’s premier entertainment festivals, attracting millions of visitors with concerts, sporting events, and cultural experiences. In 2024, the festival reached a milestone, surpassing 20 million visitors for the first time.
Netflix, one of the world’s leading entertainment services, operates in over 190 countries with more than 300 million paid subscribers. This exclusive deal marks another step in its expansion into live sports broadcasting.
The Six Kings Slam is expected to draw a massive global audience as tennis fans tune in to watch some of the sport’s biggest names compete live from Riyadh. Ends
