ISLAMABAD: The petrol price may tumble by over Rs2 per liter with a likely hike in price of high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.62 per liter from January 1, 2025 for the next fortnight.
There is no demand and supply issue in the international market, however, the uncertainty triggered on account of the geo-political situation, particularly the Syria situation and how the new US leadership would handle the world problems is deriving the POL prices. However, some experts say that some oil price hike witnessed in the global market because of the China stimulus and falling US inventories.
However, for Pakistan, the reduction in petrol price by over Rs2 per liter has been worked out with a hike in diesel price by Rs3.62 per liter. Petrol price for the next fortnight may settle at Rs250.20 per liter. However, after the estimated increase of Rs3.62 per liter, diesel price may settle at Rs259 per liter.
The new price of light diesel oil (LDO) has been estimated at Rs3 kerosene oil has been estimated at Rs151.97 per liter with an increase of Rs3.03 per liter. However, the Kerosene oil price may witness a slight increase by Rs0.05 per liter to Rs161.71 per liter. Ends
