ISLAMABAD: Citing evolving regional developments and uncertainty in the international travel environment, organisers have postponed the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26) to 12–13 November 2026, shifting the flagship investment event from its original 8–9 April schedule.
The forum will still be hosted in Islamabad, where global investors, mining companies, policymakers and industry leaders are expected to gather to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s mineral sector.
Organisers said the decision followed consultations with government counterparts and international partners, with the revised timing aimed at ensuring stronger participation from overseas delegations.
Although Pakistan remains outside the conflict zone and international travel to the country continues to operate normally, officials said moving the forum to November would provide a more stable window for international participants and help secure broad global representation.
The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum is positioned as the country’s premier platform for promoting its mineral potential and fostering investment partnerships. It brings together mining companies, exploration firms, service providers, financial institutions and government stakeholders to discuss opportunities and policy frameworks shaping the sector.
Pakistan has increasingly sought to attract foreign investment into mining as part of broader efforts to spur economic growth and diversify exports. Major projects such as the Reko Diq Copper-Gold Project in Balochistan have renewed international interest in the country’s vast but largely untapped resource base.
Despite the scheduling change, organisers said preparations for PMIF26 remain in full swing, with programme development, international outreach and partnership engagement continuing ahead of the November gathering.
They added that the forum aims to deliver a high-impact, internationally attended platform reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to responsible mineral development and deeper global investment partnerships.
