ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for December 2025, raising both producer and consumer prices effective today.
According to the notification, the LPG producer price has risen to Rs167,691.40 per ton, up from Rs160,300.43 in November—an increase of Rs7,390.97 per ton. The price of an 11.8 kg cylinder for producers has accordingly climbed by Rs87.21, reaching Rs1,978.76.
Similarly, the LPG consumer price has been revised upward to Rs208,991.40 per ton, compared to Rs201,600.43 last month. The consumer price of an 11.8 kg cylinder now stands at Rs2,466.10, reflecting the same Rs87.21 increase, or 3.66% month-on-month.
OGRA attributed the price adjustment primarily to changes in international benchmarks and currency movements. The Authority noted that the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) increased by 4.93%, while the average US dollar exchange rate declined slightly by 0.15%. The net impact of these factors resulted in a per-kg increase of Rs7.39 in the domestic consumer price of LPG.
