ISLAMABAD: His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, strongly condemned the despicable attacks carried out today by the Houthi terrorist militia against Mecca, Medina, and the governorates of Taif and Jeddah. He emphasized that targeting Wadi al-Maghmmas, near the sacred plain of Arafat, with a ballistic missile demonstrates the perpetrators’ utter disregard for the sanctity of holy sites and the safety of civilians.

The Secretary-General warned of the grave consequences of the continuation of these heinous acts, stressing the need for the Islamic world to act collectively and adopt a firm and responsible stance to deter the Houthi terrorist militia and put an end to its criminal practices.

The Secretary-General reiterated the Organization’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents. He emphasized that violating the sanctity of Islamic holy sites is an attack on the entire Muslim Ummah, requiring a firm international stance and urgent action to stop these attacks and hold the perpetrators accountable.Ends
